BTTS Predictions Today
AI-powered both teams to score predictions for today's football fixtures. The model calculates each team's independent scoring probability using expected goals, defensive strength and head-to-head history - then flags BTTS Yes or BTTS No where the model's probability sits meaningfully above the current market price.

H2H Scoring Rates
Head-to-head BTTS history is weighted into the model - some pairings consistently produce goals at both ends regardless of current form.
BTTS Yes
Flagged when both teams show high attacking output, low clean sheet rates and poor recent defensive form.
BTTS No
Selected when one or both teams carry a strong defensive record, low expected goals or a high probability of keeping a clean sheet.
Expected Goals Model
BTTS probability is built from independent xG calculations for each team - not league averages or recent results alone.

What Does BTTS Mean in Football Predictions?
BTTS stands for Both Teams To Score. It is one of the most popular prediction markets in football because it removes the need to predict the exact winner - you only need to determine whether both the home side and the away side will each score at least one goal during the 90 minutes. The market has two possible outcomes: BTTS Yes (both teams score) and BTTS No (at least one team fails to score). Extra time does not count toward the BTTS result unless a specific competition rule states otherwise.
The appeal of BTTS predictions is that they are result-neutral. A team can win 3-1, lose 1-2, or draw 2-2 - in all three cases BTTS Yes lands. This means BTTS predictions are not influenced by team form in terms of results, only in terms of scoring and conceding. A team on a five-match losing streak can still be a strong BTTS Yes candidate if they have been scoring in every game while their defence leaks goals.
How the AI Calculates BTTS Probability
The ScorePredicts model calculates BTTS probability by treating each team's scoring chance independently. For the home team, the model estimates the probability of scoring at least one goal using their expected goals (xG) figure, attacking efficiency over the last five matches, the opponent's defensive xG conceded, and home advantage. The same calculation runs for the away team factoring in their xG, recent form and the home team's defensive strength.
The two independent scoring probabilities are then combined to produce the overall BTTS Yes probability. For example, if the home team has a 72% chance of scoring and the away team has a 65% chance, the combined BTTS Yes probability is approximately 47% (0.72 x 0.65). The BTTS No probability is 1 minus BTTS Yes. The model then compares these probabilities against the current market price and flags a pick only when a meaningful gap exists.
Key Factors That Drive BTTS Yes and BTTS No
Several statistical factors consistently influence whether both teams score. Understanding them helps you interpret why the model selects a particular BTTS outcome.
Attacking xG is the primary driver. Teams that regularly generate high expected goals per match - through shot volume, shot quality and attacking phases - are far more likely to score than teams with low xG. A team averaging 1.8 xG per match will score at least once more often than a team averaging 0.9 xG.
Defensive xG conceded measures how many quality chances a team allows opponents to create. A defence that concedes 1.6 xG per game is structurally weak and far more likely to feature in BTTS Yes results than a backline that concedes only 0.7 xG.
Clean sheet rate over recent matches is a direct measure of defensive resilience. A team keeping clean sheets in four of their last five games is unlikely to concede, pulling the BTTS probability downward regardless of the opponent's attacking quality.
Head-to-head scoring patterns between the two specific teams matter more than general form in some matchups. Certain pairings consistently produce goals at both ends in every meeting regardless of where they are in the table. The model weights H2H history for these specific team combinations.
League and tactical context plays a role too. Open, high-tempo leagues like the Bundesliga and Eredivisie produce more BTTS Yes results structurally than lower-block, defensive leagues. The model accounts for this through league-level baseline adjustments.
BTTS Yes vs BTTS No - Which Leagues Favour Each?
BTTS Yes predictions are statistically most common in leagues where defensive organisation is less of a priority. The Bundesliga, Dutch Eredivisie, Portuguese Primeira Liga and the lower English Football League divisions consistently produce above-average BTTS Yes rates. These leagues have higher average goals per match and lower clean sheet frequencies than the top flight.
BTTS No predictions are strongest in tactically disciplined environments. Serie A has historically featured more defensive football than the Premier League or Bundesliga. Cup matches between teams from different divisions, where the weaker side plays defensively, also produce strong BTTS No signals. Matches involving two elite defensive teams - particularly in knockout competition - are frequent BTTS No candidates.
It is worth noting that BTTS No does not require a 0-0 draw. A 2-0 home win or a 1-0 away win both land BTTS No. The market simply requires one team to keep a clean sheet. This is why teams with strong defensive records and modest attacking output are reliable BTTS No contributors.
Reading BTTS Predictions on ScorePredicts
Each BTTS prediction today on ScorePredicts displays the selected outcome (BTTS Yes or No), the model's trust score (the calculated probability as a percentage), the current market price and the price movement from opening line to current price. A trust score above 65% indicates a high-confidence pick. Price movement toward shorter prices suggests the market agrees with the model's assessment.
BTTS predictions are updated continuously as new market data arrives. The model re-evaluates each fixture whenever a significant price move is detected, meaning the prediction you see near kick-off reflects the most current data available. All BTTS predictions today are available to subscribers across every league the platform covers.

Frequently asked questions
BTTS stands for Both Teams To Score. It is a football prediction market where you forecast whether both the home team and away team will each score at least one goal during the 90 minutes. BTTS Yes means both teams score; BTTS No means at least one team keeps a clean sheet.
Leagues with higher scoring rates and less defensive organisation produce more BTTS Yes outcomes. The Bundesliga, Eredivisie and lower English Football League divisions consistently show above-average BTTS Yes rates. Serie A and tactically cautious leagues tend to produce more BTTS No results.
ScorePredicts displays a trust score for each BTTS prediction - the model's probability expressed as a percentage. Predictions with a trust score above 65% indicate stronger model confidence. The probability gap tells you how far the model's estimate sits from the market's implied probability for the same outcome.
The model calculates each team's scoring probability independently using expected goals (xG), recent attacking efficiency, the opponent's defensive rating and home advantage. The two probabilities are combined to produce the overall BTTS Yes probability, which is then compared against current market pricing to measure the probability gap.
Yes. BTTS Yes simply requires both teams to score at least once. A 3-1 home win or a 2-1 away win both count as BTTS Yes. The market is entirely independent of which team wins or the final scoreline.
